Veranda Park and Area Amenities
Veranda Park has 25 acres of green space dedicated to parks, a picnic area and a walking trail. The six parks vary in style and size and are located throughout the community enhancing resident’s enjoyment and accessibility. Features in the parks include: a beautiful fountain boasting an 8’ bronze, a quaint fishing pier and an ornate gazebo alongside two welcoming ponds, a shady playground and benches beside a woodland creek and lush lawns for sunning or playing.
Enjoy nature on the shady walking trail which winds through mature hardwoods located along Horse Branch Creek. The trail is connected to parks and sidewalks along the way allowing residents easy access.
A large shady playground is located near the pool and alongside Horse Branch Creek. This is an ideal place for parents and grandparents to relax on comfortable benches while watching the little ones play. Other play areas are located throughout the community in sunny parks along alleyways.
The Madison-Morgan Cultural Center features musical, drama, art and craft related events throughout the year. Highlights include the annual Atlanta Symphony Christmas concert and the Forth of July concert with a picnic on the front lawn. Event tickets are available to all.
